The new year got off to a great start for the Geographe Outriggers with expert training from Tuki and Leigh. The weather was perfect for a great day on the water.

The Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association (AOCRA) is the peak body in Australia. The AOCRA website can be found here: http://www.aocra.com.au/ In WA (Western Zone) there are 6 outrigger clubs based in Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury, and Busselton.
Geographe Outriggers has six person outrigger canoes (OC6's), a double (OC2) and solo outrigger canoes (OC1's) and competes in events and regattas involving marathons and sprints in spring and summer.
We have men's, women's, and mixed categories. Outrigger canoeing is about fitness, teamwork, and enjoyment on the ocean!
